The translation of audio-visual materials and subtitles requires a specific set of skills, meaning this job must be carried out by a duly-qualified professional.
First, the translator needs to consider the rhythm that is set by the audio-visual product. We have several programmes that can be used for this.
Second, in addition to the routine complications of a regular translation task, the translator needs to adapt the messages, maintain the registers and transcreate any puns or play-on-words.
The dialogues must also be transposed in writing, clearly synchronised with the interventions of the various actors without losing the natural flow.
We have experience in various forms of audio-visual content such as transcriptions for public administrations, advertisements of clothing brands and trailers for cultural videos, etc.
